Sheriff Tommy Jones welcomes Cameron Foister and Stephen Helms to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office as Patrol Deputies.
Cameron Foister began his law enforcement career in 2011 with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office as a part time Corrections Officer. Cameron was hired full time in 2012 in the Corrections Division. He was promoted to Corporal in 2015 and Sergeant in 2016 within the Corrections Division. Cameron is a 2018 graduate of the Knox County Sheriff's Office Regional Training Academy. He now serves as a Deputy Sheriff in the Patrol Division with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Stephen Helms worked in the MCSO corrections department for the past two and a half years. He is a 2018 graduate of Cleveland State Police Academy and has lived in Madisonville since 2014. Steve was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida, and served eight and a half years in the Air Force. He is married with 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
