Dive Team

The Monroe County Dive Team is made up of all volunteers, who give their time to help others.

The Dive Team can preform several water functions including: 

Recovery Dives, Search & Rescue

Our Mission

The motto of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is “An Honor to Serve and a Duty to Protect” and Sheriff Tommy Jones takes this motto seriously. As such, the Dive Team was created to serve and protect the citizens and visitors on the Monroe County waterways. 

Having nearly 17 square miles of waterways in Monroe County, which accounts for nearly 2% of the county it only made sense to Sheriff Tommy Jones that people using the waterways get the same assistance as those on land.
