Albert Medina was in the Marine Corp with the Security Forces from 1991-1997, where he spend time overs seas at the Naval Air Station in Rota, Spain. He began his career in law enforcement in 1999 at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in the Corrections Division. Not long after he attended the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy he started working Patrol. In 2001 he became a SRO at Tellico Plains High School until 2007. After which, he transferred to Deputy over the Solid Waste Department until 2011. Albert then resigned to run a construction business until 2013, when he came back to be a SRO at Rural Vale School until 2014. In 2016 he was hired as the Jail Captain of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Albert is married to Potosha Medina of Tellico Plains, and they have four beautiful children.
