The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is part of an Intera-Agency Violent Crimes Task Force which is a collaborative unit made up of law enforcement officers from multiple local and state federal agencies.

Its primary responsibility is to investigate and combat serious violent crimes such as homicides, gang activity, armed robberies, and assaults. By combining resources, intelligence, and expertise, the task force enhances its ability to identify, apprehend, and prosecute violent offenders.

This coordinated effort ensures a swift and effective response to threats within our communities, with the ultimate goal of reducing violence and improving public safety.
