The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to safely dispose of outdated or unused prescription medications at our secure drop-off kiosk, located on the far-left side of the Justice Center Building entrance at:
4500 New Highway 68
Madisonville, TN 37354
The kiosk is available 24-hours a day. You must press the “handicapped” button to open the door to the vestibule. The kiosk (as pictured below) will be to your right as you enter.
Disposing outed/unused prescription medications:
- Mark out or remove personal information from prescription containers
- Do not place loose pills in the kiosk
- Do not place liquids in the kiosk
- No needles, syringes and lancets (sharps)
- No illegal drugs
- No batteries or medical devices
Locate kiosk, pull handle down, place medication, return handle to starting position.
Pull the handle down once more to make sure the medication was deposited inside.
Sheriff Jones urges everyone to take advantage of this convenient and responsible way to help keep our community safe and prevent prescription drug misuse.
