Chief Jake Keener
Jake Keener started in law enforcement in 1989 as a CO with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. He moved to Patrol in 1991, becoming Patrol Captain in 1996. Keener moved to Loudon County Sheriff’s Office in 2007, where he worked Patrol, SRO, and became the Jail Administrator in 2014.
Chief Keener recently returned to Monroe County as the Jail Administrator in December 2022. He has several Instructor Certifications including Firearms, TASER, ASP Baton, Domestic Violence and has been an Instructor in PPCT. He has several POST and TCI Instructor Development classes and has been a GDI for Monroe County.
