Contract Killer Scam Alert
You may receive a phone call, email, or text message from someone who claims to be a contract killer, hired to kill you. They go on to say that, if you pay them a certain amount of money (usually $3,000 to $100,000), they will not kill you. This is a scam. DO NOT PAY the money.
If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a "contract killer," hang up the phone and report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center. To do this online, go to www.ic3.gov and select "File a Complaint."
