Joint Investigation Takes Down Multi State Drug Dealer
Monroe County, TN - On March 28, 2022, detectives from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, along with Sweetwater Police Department, Madisonville Police Department and the Cherokee County (North Carolina) Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant at 190 Cook Hollow Lane.
Law enforcement apprehended multiple subjects as well as approximately 180 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately $35,000 in cash.
"We would like to extend thanks to Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Deputy DJ Taylor with K-9 Storm. K-9 Storm was instrumental in locating the narcotics near where the subject was apprehended" said Sheriff Tommy Jones.
"The Monroe County Sheriff's Office strives to dismantle large scale drug trafficking operations in our area" continued Sheriff Jones. "We believe this operation has dismantled a supply chain for several dealers in our community and in others across the region."
