Escaped Inmate John Adam Cogdill is back in custody. Cogdill was arrested by Monroe County Sheriff's Office late last evening. Deputies were conducting home visits to known friends and family of Cogdill when he was located and arrested without incident at a family member's home on Old Christianburg Road in Sweetwater TN. The Sheriffs Office appreciates the support of its citizens and the help of local city departments.
Cogdill was on a work detail at the Madisonville Convenience Center on January 14. At about 2:45 pm Cogdill walked off the work detail. He had 63 days left on his sentence for misdemeanor violation of probation.
